Two men arrested on terror charges in Bedford

Two men in their mid-20s have been arrested in Bedford on suspicion of terrorism-related offences, Bedfordshire Police said. The men were held on Monday morning after raids  by the East Counter Terrorism Investigation Uniton two addresses in Moor Lane and Victoria Road in the town at around 6.30am yesterday (Monday, December 29) smashing the front door and window to get in at the former.

Two men in their mid-20s were arrested at the scene on suspicion of terrorism related offences and taken to Greyfriars Police Station in Bedford for questioning and some property was seized.

Neighbours say there was a continuous police presence at the house in Moor Lane all day.

The men were later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
